The Hockey Club Washington, an international youth ice hockey club based in Washington D.C. was formed in 2003. HC Washington was formed to give American hockey players the opportunity to play in elite level international ice hockey tournaments. But, HC Washington is about more than just ice hockey. It is the philosophy of the Management and Coaching Staff that hockey can teach players life skills that go far beyond the rink.

Every aspect of the international youth ice hockey experience is carefully crafted to provide players with the opporunity to have once-in-a-lifetime opportunities that they may otherwise never get to experience. Our players are youth ambassadors for their country while playing the sport that they love.

HC Washington has teams playing under two banners. Through a partnership with our international travel experts HockeyTours.net, teams playing under the name Hockey Club Washington are open for registration to all youth hockey players in the US.

Teams wearing the colors of the Capital Selects consist of players that are specially hand-picked by the team management and coaches. Through-out the course of the winter ice hockey season, our coaches are always on the look-out for players that they feel are both extremely qualified on the ice and possess the exceptional personality qualities that exemplify the Capital Selects mission. The Capital Selects are the shining stars of the Hockey Club Washington international youth ice hockey organization.
